Writing consultations

As you write your doctoral thesis or any other sort of academic publication, you might encounter some difficulties. We are willing to help you in a one-on-one consultation. You might seek advice because you e.g. do not know how to structure your paper or have problems reviewing the current state of research. Alternatively, you might struggle with the amount of literature you have to read or how to keep motivated over a long period of time. We offer our support by looking at what might help you in your particular situation and by helping you to generate ideas on how to solve a problem.

Writing workshops

In order to help you to efficiently produce an academic paper, we offer workshops in which you can learn how to deal with the individual tasks that make up the writing process (e.g. the first planning steps, how to deal with research literature, how to articulate yourself correctly, revising your paper…etc.). You will reflect on how you have handled different tasks so far and try out alternative methods to help you process the individual tasks.

Writing groups

Within a continuously meeting writing group, you will have the opportunity to regularly exchange ideas concerning your writing project, can support each other during a crisis and ask for feedback on drafts or work-in-progress papers. By agreeing on concrete arrangements, you can create an effective working schedule for yourself.
